People travel from all over the world to drive along the Cabot Trail and experience breathtaking views and scenery. Stop along the way to enjoy beautiful sandy beaches and waterfalls. Don't forget to stop at some local restaurants for lobster dinner and seafood chowder! 1 hour and 45-minute drive from our place to the National Park. Allow for extra time because you're going to want to stop at all of the incredible look-offs along the way! You could wake up early in the morning and do a day trip, or spend the night somewhere in the National Park.

The historic Fortress of Louisbourg is a 45-minute drive from our place. The Fortress of Louisbourg is a National Historic Site of Canada and the location of a one-quarter partial reconstruction of an 18th-century French fortress. French soldiers march down the streets of the town as ladies dance in formal parlours. Cannon fire shakes the ground as harpsichord tunes mingle with baking bread aromas drifting from the stone bakery. Step through Louisbourg’s fortress walls and time-warp back to the 1700s. Chat with fishermen, sailors and servants. Sip rum and watch lace-making as children play 300-year-old games and stew simmers on an open-hearth fire. It’s so real, it seems surreal.

This Restaurant is only a 5 minute drive from the Airbnb! They have a large, beautiful outdoor patio as well as indoor dining located on the waterfront- inside the Dobson Yaht Club. Great views! The food is excellent! We love this place!
