The Corolla Light oceanfront complex is the highlight of the resort amenities, with easy access to the beach, activities and snacks for the kids, pool and beachside waiter service, bathrooms and changing rooms. There are also basketball and tennis courts as well as shuffleboard.

Good spot for the family to eat “modern” Mexican food with a flair. The cauldron of shrimp is delicious, and ask Steve the owner to make you his signature Margarita.

Great spot for fresh seafood!
The tuna bites and bacon wrapped scallops are good, as are all the fresh catches! Great mashed potatoes!

Best restaurant in Corolla! It’s a small spot and a bit pricey, but the menu is truly creative and the dishes are usually pretty special. Have the lime and peanut cheesecake. Sounds crazy but it’s delicious!

This is a historic landmark in Corolla and a great spot to take your family to watch the sunset. They have free yoga in the mornings, wine tastings for a small price on Wednesday evenings, and free live music with crafts throughout the week. Take a tour if you’re a history buff.

The 4-Wheel Drive Beach is a staple for a visit to Corolla. If you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle I recommend you drive yourselves because the outfits here that take you out are expensive for a family ($75 per person at minimum), but seeing the wild horses is classic for the Corolla experience. You’re pretty much guaranteed to see them if you drive out there, and you can spend the day there if you buy a permit to park.
