Food scene
This is a little known gem to eat at. It is a cross between Japanese flavors and Southern Fried chicken....Yum! They have some very healthy food and are eco conscience. Their take out is recyclable. The ambiance is very casual and fun in the evenings especially on Friday evening. Dress code depends on your mood :) either way you will love the food and it's within walking distance from the apartment. They also do take out check out their website and preorder for pickup ;)

This seafood/cocktails place is a little more expensive ($$) but they also have seating out on the deck and it's beautiful, even if it's a little cold or foggy. This seafood/cocktails place is a little more expensive ($$) but they also have seating out on the deck and it's beautiful, even if it's a little cold or foggy. Sightseeing
For those of you that want to experience something different, Lake Merritt offers sailing on the lake. If you know how to sail you can rent a small sail boat or paddle boat during the particular season. The best part of that is the panoramic pictures you can take from the center of the lake. You don't feel as thou you were in the city.
