I chose to highlight some of our favorite things to do in Virginia Beach. As full time, year round oceanfront residents, we have hit all the spots and these are a few that we have enjoyed the most!
Zekes has the incredible "OG" tuna poke bowl....my other favorite there is the Watermelon Bender....its served in a big glass and its only $4. The fresh squeezed watermelon juice, cucumber vodka, simple syrup and other ingredients make this a locals secret drink of choice!!! Its perfect after a day in the sun and before a night on the town! Definitely a great starting point for your night.

The SpringHill Suites Beach Club is across the street from our house and its open to the public. We call it the Lake Dr Country Club...The outside restaurant has rights to the pool and we use it all summer when we are staying here. It might feel weird walking in at first but as soon as you realize your not "breaking in to the hotel pool" you will feel right at home with the bartender and wait staff! Make sure the make this a stop after the beach or if you have little ones who would prefer not to go to the beach at all!

We call it the Lake Dr Country Club...The outside restaurant has rights to the pool and we use it all summer when we are staying here. It might feel weird walking in at first but as soon as you realize your not "breaking in to the hotel pool" you will feel right at home with the bartender and wait staff! Make sure the make this a stop after the beach or if you have little ones who would prefer not to go to the beach at all!
Located in the basement of the magnificent Cavalier Hotel, this is a must see on your trip. The Cavalier, just google it, is one of our city's oldest landmarks!!! It once hosted the founder of Coors Light, several politicians and most recently, celebrities like Gwen Stefani, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and more who were in town for Pharells "Something in the Water Festival"....please take a drive up to the Cavalier and walk around the facilities to see the newly renovated historic property!!!

Bay Local is literally our favorite for breakfast, lunch or dinner...they serve breakfast all day and are famous for their mimosas!! Get there early, for any meal of the day because its always crowded! Momma always said "don't eat in an empty restaurant" and boy was she right! This place is never empty! You may recognize some of the decor, I have pulled some of their style into my rental home your in!!
