This place has the best tamales I've tried. And they are vegan. Tamal is a traditional mexican food made with corn and stuffed with delicious ingredients like beans, mole, spinach and others. Its a must try during your visit.

You are lucky to have one of the most popular places for breakfast in the city right in the same building. Chilaquiles is one of my favorite Mexican dishes and they prepare some mean ones here. Chose you favorite salsa and topping (mushrooms is my go to one), add a "café de olla" and you have a truly killer breakfast.

This neighbourhood is just across the avenue to the north. It has some of the best art galleries in the city as well as great restaurants. El Bosque de Chapultepec also starts there, a park three times the size of Central Park in NY. Beautiful.

If you want to go truly local visit this market. You can buy groceries as well as eat there. Only traditional food and incredibly inexpensive. Its about 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
