Neighborhoods
Recommended that you check out the area if you have any extra spare time as the house is in the center of two 'Artsy-type' Cities there is the Naro cinema, the Chrysler Hall and otehr interesting points are the Virginia Marine Science Museum and Air and Space Museum.
This area is stacked with Crape myrtles the trees are everywhere, but the side street McKann has double parking so street parking become sketchy in many places. So, I mark that street parking is easy in the neighborhood, but everyone does it, so it is difficult to find spaces. Our house actually has a couple of drive ways so we do not have to worry about finding an open spot. The guest here have one spot in the driveway available with their room.

Close to Downtown Norfolk and Virginia Beach, but definitely subburb in appearance. No crazy, fast moving traffic streets here. Centrally located, quiet neighborhood where everyone is friendly. Kind of an old neighborhood where the neighbors have lived here for >20 years. Crape Myrtles line the streets and mechanical street cleaners regularly pass through. People run, walk dogs and children sometimes play in the streets.

Some of the best restaurants are HK in Norfolk, on Chix beach or Butchers son. Also the Mexican restaurants are wonderful if it’s not a national chain. Our seafood restaurants are great also as most serve local catch of the day as the special
