If you do not have a car you can take a bus from Hania bus station or take a taxi. Approx 15/20 minutes.

If you do not have a car you can take a bus from Hania bus station or take a taxi. Approx 15/20 minutes.
There is a small harbor and beach at Nea Chora. Map reference 35.513658, 24.005931.
It is about 30 minutes walk from the apartment. Walk around the old harbor towards the navel museum at the West of the old port. Follow the path close to the sea and around the old walls into the area where the cars are parked. Keep walking West past the old swimming pool into Nea Chora. Here there is a beach and many fish tavernas

It is about 30 minutes walk from the apartment. Walk around the old harbor towards the navel museum at the West of the old port. Follow the path close to the sea and around the old walls into the area where the cars are parked. Keep walking West past the old swimming pool into Nea Chora. Here there is a beach and many fish tavernas

The beach can be VERY busy in peak season. Go early if you want to get an umbrella/sunbed
I can recommend SpiliaRaki tavern in Topolia for a drink/food on your journey to/from Elafonisi

In my opinion the best beach for peak season.It is busy but not to the same extent as Balos and Elafonisi. Sunbeds/umbrella are available as well as on the beach cantinas. Excellent swimming
Stay late for one of the best sunsets around with a beer/cocktail
