One of our all time favourite places to visit. You get there by Ferry from either Devonport or the CBD - it is a short and pleasant trip (Fullers Ferry). Fantastic day out for beaches, views and world class vineyards. There is a local bus that you can hop on and off, shopping, great places to eat, stunning beaches, wineries etc.

25 Karaka RdOne of our all time favourite places to visit. You get there by Ferry from either Devonport or the CBD - it is a short and pleasant trip (Fullers Ferry). Fantastic day out for beaches, views and world class vineyards. There is a local bus that you can hop on and off, shopping, great places to eat, stunning beaches, wineries etc.

Fabulous aquarium built in the old sewers of Auckland City. Great attraction with sharks, penguins and local sea life plus displays of Scotts Antarctic expedition. Awesome fun for kids and also a good option on a rainy Auckland Day. (17.1 Km from Tui Glen Road).

Spectacular day out looking at the native flora and bird life. Guided walking tours are available and would highly recommend this (cheap too) as they point out all sorts of birds that you would never see. It is peaceful and stunning - on an unspoilt island in the Hauraki Gulf. Travel there by ferry from the CBD or if you have a car, drive to Gulf Harbour and it is a shorter trip from there. Make sure you take your lunch as there is only one small shop on the island . Great views!

Make sure you take your lunch as there is only one small shop on the island . Great views!
