A pretty little botanical garden hidden away in Roath Park. Small entrance fee and 50p charge for fish food ideal walk on a cold day in the warmth of the conservatory. Fish are friendly great for children, few free activity sheets for children to take part in as they walk around.

It's the only true opera house in Wales, but it also hosts theatre and other events. There's a selection of bars and gift shops too. The main theatre is great, it has clear views and comfortable seats.

It's a really great walk down the river bank, up past the old canal and then back through Forest Farm Country Park. loads of wildlife on show, lovely area to walk, plenty of parking, picnic areas, playground for children with tree sculptures.
