Great beaches!!!

You will enjoy the 15-20 min walk from my house through the neighborhood to this beach! It is a clean beach, usually not crowded and has a great view of the city! It is a nice walk here all times of the year! On the way to this beach you will discover many cafes and restaurants, Target, CVS, Chase Bank, small neighborhood grocery stores, work out gym and Loyola University Campus and further north of Sheridan Rd is a discounted movie theatre that serves alcoholic beverages. "The New 400 Theater" located @ 6746 N Sheridan Rd. I will say not updated and most comfortable seats.

Neighborhood Movie Theater

North of Devon on Sheridan Rd is a discounted movie theatre tickets. They serve alcoholic beverages, popcorn and candy. Located @ 6746 N Sheridan Rd. It is a historical movie theater but I will say not updated and not the most comfortable seats.

Food and live entertainment

This is a unique hidden neighborhood gem 1228 W Loyola Ave. can be hard to find. It is on the west side of the red line at Loyola station. Although I haven't eaten here I have heard that the food is solid for breakfast and dinner. I have sat on the patio had a drink and listened to live jazz on a random Friday night.

You can easily take the Metra train and go listen to live concerts in a beautiful park setting. Bring your own picnic, drinks, blankets or chairs, or you can rent chairs, and buy food and drinks at the venue. I have seen Seal, Lauren Hill, Santana, John Legend, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Andersonville made Time Out's No. 2 spot for their newly released "49 Coolest Neighborhoods in the World". This neighborhood is a 5 min drive by car, 15 min by bike or approx 30 minute walk. The main street with most of the restaurants, cafes, or boutique small stores will be found on Clark street between 5100 north to 5700 north. Lots of great restaurants to try and too many to name but here it goes: Bar Roma (love the meatball app and a good Negroni, Cosmo or glass of wine), offering outside dining. Lady Gregory's great drinks and Food, offers outside dining Big Jones (love the Rooftop salad and fried chicken sandwich). M, Henry (go for brunch, Love the Rustic Quiche too many great options to try). Wonderful hidden garden patio in the back. Tanoshii (tell the owner what type of sushi you like and he will create something spectacular). Always busy hard to get in. Parson's Chicken & Fish (fun place to sit outside. Mostly fried food I thought it was ok. It is not my favorite) JB's Deli (Jewish deli with amazing sandwiches and bagels. I get the smoked salmon bagel open face). Kanela Breakfast Club ( lots of great options voted Best breakfast in Chicago by USA Today). A Taste of Heaven ( I like the Mikes Pesto Sandwich and Coconut Almond cakes, and they have great bakery items to explore) outside seating. Calo Ristorante (old School Italian since 1963 too many great options to list). Hopleaf Voted 2022 Readers choice Best Beer Bar in the world! Wonderful outside hidden garden to have dinner or drinks. 68 taps of craft beer try the mussels). Middle East Bakery & Grocery lots of great items to take home. A taste of Lebanon (a cash only, hole in the wall with inexpensive items solid food options. I always get the lentil soup, chicken or Beef Shawarma, or veggie combo). First Slice Pie Cafe (Lots to chose from but I love the apple and Key lime pie). Land & Lake is the newest addition to the neighborhood for breakfast, brunch and dinner or happy hour. I have not had the chance to eat here yet but it looks amazing.

In West Rogers Park Explore Chicago’s Little India, A 15-Block Stretch On Devon Avenue. The Hustle and Bustle and vibe of the neighborhood goes from approximately block 2000W to 3000W on Devon Ave. According to Secret Chicago "Filled with packed restaurants, delicious food, and shop windows advertising saris, Little India might be less well known than the likes of China Town or Greektown, but it’s 100% worth a visit. It is bustling with Indian and Pakistani culture".
