Wonderful trails on bluffs above the ocean, a superb beach and a Visitor Center as well. If you want to hike down one of the trails from the top to the beach and walk back to your vehicle along the beach, be sure you check the tide chart first, since the beach floods at high tide. The chart is located at a trailhead in a parking lot at the top. Be sure to take water, hats and sunscreen!

Perhaps the finest zoo in the U.S. Huge and gorgeously landscaped. When you're finished, leave your vehicle in the zoo's large parking lot and walk 3–4 minutes to the Balboa Park.
