Best pizzas in town. Mainly pick up as it only has one table and the place is not very cozy as a dining place. Find a nice place by the river and dine there instead. Call and order in advance during the weekends as they usually can have hours of queue.

Parks & Nature
Rödberget got it´s name, Red Mountain, in the old days for its riches of lingonberrys. This forestcovered hill is riddled with small paths. Follow the paths uphill and at the top you´ll find a nice view of Umeå. A great place for running or eating berries in the summer. During wintertime it is great for cross-country skiing or downhill sled running :)

Embedded on a forest hilltop it has several small shelters where you can make your food over open fire or even stay the night (but bring some mosquito-repellant). There is also a basic but cozy café which serves coffee and wafles. You can walk all the way to Hamptjärnsstugan from our accomodation (about 10 km) which offers a pleasant trek in nice surroundings, mostly through forested areas.

A big playground for kids of all ages. There´s fireplaces for grilling and a fountain which is pretty fun to play in so bring some bathing clothes :)

Sightseeing
If you are going to the City, take the opportunity to walk or take a bicycle ride along Ume River. There is a nice path just by the river which connets the city with the countryside and measures miles and miles. It offers great scenery and a lot to explore.

A popular and central bathing place. You can actually bath here and there along the river but watch out for the river currents which can be really strong and dangerous. This place is safe though.
