Fine dining steak house, this place is mouth watering. What I usually do is order a meal to go for example, one steak to split, one mashed potatoes, salad and some other sides, and bring it home. It's a 3 block walk and you have fine dining food and home privacy, and can save on the wine.

I am not sure if I have ever eaten there. I am putting it down because it is a iconic place. Its super close and with a 5 minute walk each way you can get what I expect is world class steaks but I'm a local restaurant guy so I am partial to Lewnes'.

It's a divey grab and go deli but the food is quality. Not so close to the rental but if you're out on that side of town and it's your type of place as it is mine, now you know one more secret.

Metropolitain is a great mixed use restaurant just as my home is a mixed use place. There's a excellent bar with great local food ranging from breakfast to late night tapas/flatbreads. Burgers are amazing, staff is great. Upstairs is a 2nd bar and a small stage/club room. On the rooftop deck is a 3rd bar with a variety of great seating both covered and open, and exciting views. Food service on all levels.

A quick get away from the city, Quiet Waters offers a family place to walk, run, bike or rollerblade through the woods on established trails. There is kayak rental and scenic views of local waterways including a overlook of the South River. Drive in there is a cheap entry fee. Check out Grumps Cafe on the way in or out.

Bay Ridge Road ends at Bay Ridge, a non-private community with a great semi-private beach. The best way to access it is by bicycle. There are no signs that say beach is for residents only but there is no public parking. The secret is to park at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation at 6 Herndon Ave, 21403. It's a private nonprofit business with a substantial volume of traffic and one car can go unnoticed for a couple hours while enjoying a walk along the beach or the road/bluff. After you park I suggest you stay to the left as you go to the beach.

Annapolis is iconic for sailing and these big beautiful boats look like a great experience on a day with a breeze of at least 10 mph. Watch the weather and book accordingly, and have a backup plan. Don't go if there is no wind.

(From their site: No Boating experience required. Must be 21 with valid ID and credit card. Payment types are cash or credit card. If born after 1971, you must bring your MD boating license. If you do not have one, we can issue a 10 day temporary. Reservations are highly recommended as it is first come, first served but walk ups are welcome during our regular season.)

Everyone should try a Isolation Tank at least once, and Paradise Float Spa is one of the nicest such places. They have top of the line private spa tanks and the proprietor's attention to providing a great experience shines.

Getting Around
It's easy to hop on the water taxi by walking over to Annapolis City Marina between 5th and 4th streets, walking past the stop light on Severn Ave. which happens to be 6th street. Call them at 4102630033 and tell them you would like to be picked up at Annapolis City Marina. At the marina take a left and walk past the gate, mozy on through and find your way to the dock and to to the end. You can also have them pick you up at the Chart House Restaurant, another great place a little farther down Severn on the left.
It's a nice 5 minute ride to city dock and the cheapest boat ride you can get.
The water taxi is not really public transit, it is operated by Watermark cruises.
