LA’s Eagle Rock

Eagle Rock has acheived the status of being named one of LA's "hot neighborhoods" and the joke is that it's where hipsters move when they have kids. Named for a large rock bluff with the impression of an eagle on it, this is a diverse, vibrant community with boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, and bars along Colorado Boulevard, its main Istreet. It is also home to Occidental College, a historic liberal arts college. Tucked into the hillsides of Northeast Los Angeles, Eagle Rock is a free-spirited community full of independent businesses and art-minded events. It's an ideal neighborhood for daytime excursions, where you can hike, shop and do some beer-tasting, but there is nightlife here as well. Eagle Rock is also home to several large annual events. Proximity to three major highways makes it simple to go elsewhere around LA and other surrounding cities such as Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena. With a close proximity to the studios, Eagle Rock is often used quite as filming locatiobs.
