Arts & Culture
Pango Beach at Pango village is 5 minutes drive or 25 minutes walk from our place. It is the best surf beach on Efate and the only proper beach close to town.
Along the road to Pango quite close together, there are three good art galleries:
1. Diana Tam Art Gallery
2. Michoutouchkine & Pilioko Foundation Art Gallery
3. Bastien Foundation Art Gallery.
There are also a number of nice restaurants and cafes and resorts around Pango.
Its a nice day's outing to stroll along and visit the galleries and end up at Pango beach for a swim and coffee or a meal, then catch a bus back. You can walk along the coast at low tide and take the small side dirt roads to the galleries. BUT be careful if walking along the main road as there is not a lot of space and road safety is not as good as in some countries.
