The fortress is visible in any part of Knin, and is an essential place to visit. In our opinion, it is best for an evening walk to enjoy the amazing view of the sunset on the mountains. The source of the river Krka is under this waterfall. The best time to see the waterfall is in the autumn or spring – sometimes during the summer it completely dries out. It can be reached with a short drive or a 45 minute walk.

The city of Šibenik is an hour drive away, and is a beautiful historic town, with plenty of restaurants and things to see, as well as shopping. We recommend a visit to the Cathedral and to the city museum, followed by coffee or a meal somewhere in the old town.
