Just around the corner is one of Kaldreds finest treasures, the farmshop Lunden. Lunden has a large farm were they grow potatoes and strawberries. In their shop, you'll find a big selections of local veggies fresh from the soil.
In the freezer there's italian gelato. Their selection of delicious delis counts local honey, handmade candy, jam and other yummy stuff.
Don't like washing the dirt of the potatoes? No problems!! They have the coolest potatowasher ever, and for free :)

We truly believe this is the best butcher in Denmark!! Never ever have we tasted so tender steaks, and really good pricing too.
You'll find Bjergsted slagteren close to Jyderup, about 15 minutes away.
They have steaks, beer sticks, pork chops, deli meats, wine... You'll love it!
It's also possible to order the famous danish "smørrebrød" to pick up the day after. Perfect for a day where you don't want to cook lunch.

Feriebyens Grillperle translated to english, means the holiday villages pearl of the grill. And it is a true pearl.
The history of this place goes way back. A few years ago, it burned completely to the ground. Thanks to local people and guest of our little village, they managed to rebuild it and even nicer than before.
Their reputation is BIG icecreams!!! We mean it, they are som big its almost impossible to eat the larger of them. It's fine to settle for two scoops (which is like four).
Icecream is not the only thing on the menu. You can treat yourself with a nice rotesserie grilled chicken, sausages, burgers or other delicious food. Also coffee and cake. So delicious.
Nice both indoor and outdoor seating.
Up for some mini golf? You can rent golf clubs at the cafe.

If you drive through Kalundborg, you'll find Røsnæs. This place has unique nature, a beautiful lighttower, wine yards, shelters and nature rooms where you can spend the night, swimming areas and so much more. You can download the app "Røsnæs rundt" that guides you around in this area.

This is by far one of the most amazing places I have ever visited!
A clean warm beach with clear water, perfect for kids, in the middle of a national park.
Its the perfect place for sopping in the waterfront, eating your picnic, watching the sunset or just playing all day long.
Vesterlyng is a protected nature area (since 1945) full of heather, juniper bushes and blackberries.
On windy days kite flying is the way to go. Its actually one of Denmarks best places to flying kites.

It may look funny, but the cattle runs free in the nature area. They're very calm animals and in hot summerdays, you'll probably find them in the shallow waters cooling off.

Jyderup is an excellent option for grocery shopping. They have several grocery stores, a pharmacy, baker, secondhand shops, hardware stores, florist, pizza with takeaway etc.
