The entry point is actually in Palm Springs, but this Tram takes you right into the Long Valley Trails. You can take the tram up and down or, if you're up for it, take the tram up and hike back to town! It's 12 mi to the cabin and 8 mi back to the Humber Park parking area (you would need 2 cars for this). Peaks restaurant at the summit lets you dine at 8500 feet! (2700 elevation loss from Peak to Humber)
