La Jolla Koyu

Absolutely stunning beach. Scripts pier has good, somewhat advanced surfing. La Jolla Shores has nice, beginner waves. Always check the local surf report -- I like to look at Magic Seaweed.
Also, remember to do the stingray shuffle when you walk in the water. They are curious and will come up to your feet, but get scared when stepped on.
