This shop specializes in nieves -- a style of interestingly flavored ice creams popular in Guadalajara. They make their ice cream by hand-cranking it in buckets and adding flavors such as elote (corn) or fresh strawberry. It's inexpensive and delicious!

We love their birria de chivo (stewed goat, it comes as a soup or in tacos), pozole (hominy stew), menudo blanco (tripe broth), tacos dorados con pollo (fried tacos stuffed with chicken) and sopes de buches (pork stomach on a masa cake).
