Getting Around
Metro is my preferred public transport as it is much faster than busses, run round the clock and you never wait more than a few minutes.
It takes around 15 minutes to walk to Vanløse Metro Station from my place, or you may take bus 22 to Vanløse Station from Husumvej (Slotsherrensvej) or Slotsherrensvej (Ålekistevej) just around the corner.

Islev Station is about 10 minutes walk from my place. This is the public transport you will want to use for going to numerous parts of Copenhagen central, including the central railway station "Hovedbanegården" near the Town Hall Square and Tivoli.

You can rent a bicycle here and even book in advance by calling or e-mailing. The web is in Danish only.

Kronen Vanløse
1 Vanløse TorvLovely, colourful clothes, shoes and accessories for women. Very helpful - and talkative;-) - staff. They are VERY good sales women. Take the metro to Frederiksberg and walk for a couple of minutes.
From there you may even walk to town via Gammel Kongevej. A nice, old, busy street with all kinds of shops and cafees.

Damhusengen (Jyllingevej) station
Perfect for a walk or a jog.
Walk or cycle through old neigbourhoods in Brønshøj to Utterslev Mose. Marshland circled by walking and cycling paths where lots of Danes stroll and jog, especially during weekends.

One of the most beautiful parks in Copenhagen. With a lake, lots of flowers during summer and greenhouses with exotic plants.
