My Favourite Restaurants
We are very fussy when it comes to food. It must be fresh, delicious and reasonably priced.
If you are tempted to visit, booking is essential as it is so popular it gets booked out. I think they have two seating times. So after your sumptuous breakfast with us, probably later will be better. After lunching there you will be able to drive around and visit wineries.

Open during the week for breakfast and lunch. But open on a Friday night for dinner. Absolutely my favourite place in Adelaide and only about 15 minute drive from our Air bnb. On a Friday night they have a DJ, quietly playing vinyls such as Bos Scaggs etc. Prices for a main range from $18-$25. But every mouthful is delicious.

They have an a la carte restaurant there, I have not eaten at it, they offer a set menu and wines to compliment. But we have visited and have experienced the beautiful platters they offer. And if you run out of bread they are happy to give you more at no cost. YUMMY! You can buy wine by the glass. The setting is under leafy trees. And there are other wineries to visit in the area.

We love this place. We don't rate any other restaurants in Jetty Road, they are all a little "Stale" and been there for a long time. But Ottomans opened recently and we gave it a go. The owner is lovely and the place is getting busier and busier. So BOOK! They offer a banquet for $24.00 per head. You cannot eat it all. And its all fresh and delicious. Its down the quieter end of Jetty Road so you should not have a problem with parking.

Fast but Yummy Food
Sometimes guests want to eat in. The places we recommend can be delivered vis Uber Eats. Of course you are welcome to eat in the dining room.

Hans Heysens House Hahndorf
Hahndorf is only 20-25 minute drive from our house, up in the hills. The little township is busy, shops, german beer houses and very pretty. There is a turn off before you hit the main drag of Hahndorf, its says, "the cedars". I am an artist myself and love to visit. You can do tours for $10. The house was bequeathed to the people of Adelaide and is as if they have just stepped out. A beautiful property.
Great place to visit. Tours are 1pm and 3 pm, I think they run everyday except Monday, but please check the website. Definitely worth a visit.
