Beautiful scenery and the famous Kitekite Waterfall walk has just reopened with new pathways. Be careful of the black sand if going to the beach and wear shoes on hot days as gets very hot under your feet. Make sure you stop at the Lookout at the top of the hill, before descending down into Piha as the views are spectacular and you'll get some great photos on a clear day.
