Cheap and good quality food - anything ranging from an English Breakfast, Mediterranean breakfast, falafel, shawarma, great coffee (the list could go on!)

Without doubt, the best kebab in town and a great location. Right at the heart of Chorlton, this is only a short walk from my house. If you fancy spending a night out of the city centre, this is a great place to start because there are bars galore all around this area.

A beautiful Victorian park about 5 minutes walk from my house. They have recently restored Alex Park to its former grandeur and it is well worth a walk around. The tree tunnel looks amazing in every season and there is a cafe right in the centre with good coffee and a range of food.

The best place to learn about Manchester's industrial and rebellious heritage. A free museum, it offers some essential knowledge of the rich history of this city such as the formation of the trade union movement and the Peterloo Massacre.

An old warehouse that is now home to artists, printers, musicians and the like. They frequently have art events on and watch out for live music and nights in the venue.
If you do end up visiting the mill, Oldfield road has one of my favourite views of Manchester...

Known as the Manchester 'water palace', Victoria baths is a beautiful old swimming baths that is currently being restored. The building is breathtaking - if you get any chance to visit here you really should. All sorts of events take place here and they run tours.
