Hispters, bars, coffee, sushi, mixed with business people.....a real mix and well worth looking at eating in this area. (Please note that I have personally eaten at all my recommended places....)

Fabulous iconic restaurant chain in NZ. Hearty meals, wonderful quality, and does not taste in anyway like it is part of a chain. It's been around for years, and is a hit with groups and families. There is also a nice bar here for a pre dinner drink. no bookings taken but if you go earlyish it should be fine. Normally excellent service.

A real treat! This restaurant was displaced in the Christchurch quakes from the Art Centre, and is now based in a gorgeous tastefully renovated historic home on Riccarton Road. Is has a brew bar theme, along with a vegetartian and pescatarian menu. Just a beautiful fit out (Which appeals to my inner renovator) and a place where you can have an evening enjoying the ambience and each other's company. It's been running for around 30 years with the same owners and I know you won't be disappointed. It has a beautiful outdoor area too, where many a person will spend an afternoon with friends....
