Rapid Creek market is my fave. Enjoy it but don't tell anyone as it's really quiet usually unless you hit the lunch time peak hour. This market is only for food - either fresh or to takeaway but nothing else and the selection of food is the most exotic in town.

This coffee van has the best view in the whole of Darwin. It is literally a ten minute walk from the entry of the block and over looks the jetty and the ocean. Say hi to Jay he makes great coffee and has a lovely vibe. During the week there is another van on the same spot called Cry Baby - he's great too.

Nice coffee and awesome service. Friday nights often have a live music scene going where the locals come and hang out. very tropical vibes. a 10 minute stroll from home.

Locals secret
This place does good food and has a grass-roots local vibe but I love it because it 'goes-off' at night when they have a 'live' band on. Serves excellent cocktails and a great bar-side vibe. They also have the best croissants in town...

We locals know that - so there's also a friendly cruisey vibe in there. Boasts a full European delicatessen too and a well contained bottle shop. Also a ten minute walk there from my place .

Sanjit is the best yoga teacher I have every come across and that's saying something since I come from Byron Bay. His father and his grandfather were yoga teachers and he is the REAL DEAL. Once again a short work or a 2 minute drive max around the corner.

I have travelled the circumference of Australia and can say this public swimming pool is the best in the country. It literally overseas the Arafura Sea and sunset swims are delicious!!!

Open at the Jetty area every Mon-Friday from 7am-Noon this is simply THE best place for coffee. Both the coffee and the view are 100%. Aaron the barista is one of the nicest guys ever and he also offers the best croissants and danishes from Ben, another nice bloke. Top spot!
