Edinburgh Zoo is huge, & a great day out in good weather or a little rain - there are several indoor areas. The penguins, the pandas and the Lions & Tigers are top attractions! You need to book a slot to see the pandas - this is separate from the tickets so if its on your list make sure to do that as it can be super busy & often sells out. Plenty of cafes but its very very expensive so pack some water & snacks if looking to save some money! Great city views The Zoo is open every day 9-6 April-Sept. Really easy to get to on Lothian Buses 12, X12, 26, 31, 100 (this is the Airport bus -Airlink) (check out the m-tickets app to make bus travel even easier) www.edinburghzoo.org.uk 0131 334 9171

Drinks & Nightlife

High end cocktails - quite an inconspicuous location fantastic drinks in here, be prepared to pay more than average, but the quality is high, sometimes a wait (as they are making cocktails!) but if you want to have a couple of really nice drinks maybe before or after dinner, this is the place for you

Essentials

Super close to the flat this is a large supermarket with everything from food to clothes to electronics. You can get everything you may need here during your stay and it is one of the most cost effective options - it is next to two discount shops (Poundstretcher & BM) which sell canned/packed goods but not fresh fruit/meat etc. We charge for plastic bags in scotland so save 5p and help recycle by taking your own from the flat! Open everyday from 8am - 10pm (7am on Saturdays) you can buy alcohol there but only between 10am and 10pm (this is a Scotland wide restriction)
