Yucatecan food is a fusion of mayan, spanish and lebanese food. As entree enjoy the panuchos and salbutes (corn fried tortilla filled with back beanes topped with turkey meat), as main course try the frijol con puerco (black beans with pork meat), Queso Relleno (Gouda cheese filled with minced pork meat), Cochinita Pibil (Pork meat overlycooked with spices and banana leaves), Relleno Negro (Turkey and pork meat marinated and cooked with a mix of chiles, a bit spicy), all the dishes with hand made corn tortillas.

Celestún is one of the best places to sighseeing flamingos and other bird species, only take a bus from the station at the 67 street between 50 and 52. There are buses to Celestún every hour from 6 am to 8 pm. Its a two hours trip.
