The Cooperativa italiana was meeting point of the Italian immigrants in Zurich. With the rise of facism in Italy it became the exile location of the socialist workers movement and a center for the anti-fascist resistance.
The polictical times have changed in the last 100 years... but the food at Cooperativo is still the same: simple, honest, moderately priced...

A short 10 min. walk from my place. From here you have direct trains to central station every few mins. Once per hour a direct train to the airport. (During other times change at Main station to the airport). Travel time to airport about 30-40 mins.
