Sightseeing
Keem Bay and the Atlantic Drive that leads down there have some of the most breathtaking scenery I have ever seen. if you're lucky enough, you'll get to see some of the basking sharks that we get to share this water with. Keem Bay was recently voted one of the world's most beautiful beaches. Keel is also highly recommended and there's a children's playground there too. There's also a great Fish & Chip food truck in Keel that serves great food.

if you come to Westport when the weather is clear and the top of the mountain is free from cloud cover, you should climb our local holy mountain on which St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, fasted for 40 days and 40 nights (in 441AD). He is said to have banished the snakes from Ireland.
Pilgrims travel here from all over the world to climb this famous mountain. The view from the top looks out over Clew Bay's islands. Some say there are 365 islands, one for every day of the year!
