Drive up the memorial highway to the mountain entrance. Walk though a long tunnel into Whiteface Mountain, and ride the elevator to the top where you can see the entire Adirondacks and Vermont, or walk up to the summit via the stone stairway that wraps around the side of the mountain. Shop and eat lunch in the Castle.
Visit Lake Placid, home of the 1980 Olympic's. Take a ride on the Bobsled/ Luge track with a professional guide, or shop, eat and walk around the lake. Pick a hike from the 46 High Peaks of the region. Fish, swim or boat from our 3,000 lakes and ponds and our 30,000. rivers and streams.

Saranac Lake offers a verity of art and culture. It is an Art community with a small galleries thought the village and an art walk every Thursday evening. There are free concerts in the park and a farmers market every week. We also have a verity of cafe's and cool downtown shops that L. Placid doesn't offer.
