Manfreds & Vin is owned by Christian F. Puglisi, a Noma alum who also runs the kitchen at the Michelin-starred Relae across the street. If Noma transforms Nordic food into high art, and if Relae renders it accessible to a wider audience, then Manfreds & Vin turns it into a party.

At Istid (Ice age), you get fresh organic ice cream made with liquid nitrogen. Istid is the first ice cream store in Scandinavia to make ice cream with liquid nitrogen. This procedure gives the ice cream a unique consistency. It looks almost like a chemical experiment when the ice cream is made and a smoke cloud surrounds the ice cream. Thursday to Saturday means ice cream for adults. From 16:00 there's one or two ice cream cocktails on the menu.

The man behind GILT, Peter Altenburg, has more than 20 years of experience, and many people believe that he and GILT can take a lot of credit for Copenhagen’s international recognition and the fact that the city has a cocktail scene today.

Copenhagens newest wine shop and bar, Vinhanen, or the Wine Faucet, serves quality wines at reasonable prices. The concept is to keep prices low and the vibe easy-going, while still serving a great product. This is accomplished by tapping directly from large steel tanks. In this way, the prices are kept low enough to compete with supermarkets. Besides wine, one can enjoy smaller dishes at the bar.
