For centuries, the Frederiksberg Gardens has been a favourite outing spot for Copenhageners. Svendsen's Boat Service (Svendsens Bådfart) provides rowing tour that will give you a good idea of the vastness of the gardens.

It contains various theme gardens including a fruit orchard, a water garden, a rose Garden, a garden for the disabled, Hans Christian Andersen's Oriental Garden, a garden for dahlias, a kitchen garden, a herb garden and more. The park has a lovely lake at the beginning and on the other end is a sea. Good for a long walks. Cafe Rosenhaven is open between 12 and 19. Lunch available.

Inhabitants of Christiania are called "Christianites".
