Charlottetown is 40 minutes from the Beachfront Point Prim Cottage. The city has a robust selection of restaurants, cafes, local markets, and artisanal shops. The weekly Charlottetown Farmers’ Market on Saturdays (and Wednesdays in the summer), open 9am-2pm, is a popular spot for people to buy fresh food from local producers. Victoria Row, located on Richmond Street between Queen and Great George Streets, is a pedestrian walkway with restaurants, cafes and shops. It’s an entertaining place for “people watching” and listening to live music during the summer. The Confederation Centre of the Arts offers a variety of special events, art exhibitions, theatre shows, walking tours, and educational programs year round. Peakes Quay Marina is a bustling area to shop (for souvenirs), dine and enjoy live music, performed on their outdoor stage as part of the Live Music Waterfront Series. Visitors enjoy cocktails, pizzas, gourmet burgers, and spectacular views at this floating restaurant, Nimrods Burger Hut.
