Take a free ferry ride to one of Blackbeard’s hideouts! Cool Island full of history and charm. Make sure to take a walk to Springer’s point where Blackbeard was beheaded by the British Royal Navy. Smack Nally’s is a cool open air local’s hangout nestled on Silver Lake.

If you have a 4x4 vehicle this is a trip worth taking! When the wind is blowing from the south the wild horses are found roaming the northern beaches of Corolla and Corova. What a beautiful site to see!
