Sightseeing
Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper had their last concert at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake. Their plane crashed not long after liftoff in a bad snow storm. Be prepared you'll have to drive on a gravel road to visit.

Thursdays on Main are a great event where all the stores, restaurants, food vendors, kids dance/tumbling teams as well as a live band a car show and a community movie is every Thursday evening starting at 5:30pm. It is a LOT of fun!
The Lake Theater is $3 a person. It is an old theater, but has great ambiance and digital projection and sound.
On Sunday mornings there is a great church services at Central Park at the bandshell. Bring your lawn chairs and expect a crowd. 10 am services with contemporary music and thoughtful sermons.
