A true dive bar and fun local spot. The Pug was one of the first bars to come to H St during the revitalization and we've loved it ever since.

Toki is a tiny place right on top of one of our favorite dives, The Pug. Absolutely the best ramen - highly recommend! But beware - if you get there after 5/6pm (depending on the night) you may not get in at all, it's that popular!

This is a great place nearby to go to feel like you're not in a city anymore! Right on the Anacostia River Bike Trail, it's a nice little getaway, or a place for a good walk/jog if you don't bike there.

You can easily walk down Maryland Ave. to the Capitol, and the from there you can see the entire National Mall, down to the Lincoln Memorial. Gorgeous at sunrise or sunset :) Also, it's an easy walk from the Capitol Building to the Eastern Market neighborhood - lots of good food and very pretty.

One of our favorite memorials. Very peaceful settings. If you start at the Jefferson Memorial and walk toward FDR to the Lincoln Memorial, you will go through this memorial as well as the MLK memorial.
