My favorite breakfast place in Bend, especially in the summer when you can sit outside in the grass. The wait can be a bit long on weekends but it's worth it. Recommendations: Smith Rock Benny.

Amazing, creative breakfast menu, outside patio seating and live music on weekends in the summer while you wait with a bloody mary or mimosa. Sat/Sun 9am-noon the wait may be 30-45 min if it's sunny.

Excellent restaurant AND happy hour (4-6pm) bar with the biggest by-the-glass wine list in town. Right in the middle of town. Good place to sit at the bar and make friends with someone over 22.

Same great Hola restaurant, this time in the Old Mill District, just 1.5 miles from my house. The Traditional ceviche is fabulous, and the margaritas can't be beat.

My favorite brewery - great beer, cool atmosphere, lots of outside space, and a huge fire on the patio for cold nights. Great food as well. 8 minutes from my house.

One of our funkiest locales and well worth checking out. Restaurant, 3 bars, Turkish Bath, hotel, firepits, shuffleboard, movie theater where you can order dinner & a beer, and late night Happy Hour.

Our landmark brewery. Gary Fish opened Deschutes in 1986, not knowing he'd be the cornerstone of an industry. It's not as local as it used to be but you still have to stop by for a beer just 'cause.
