Still maintains somewhat of a smaller city/town feel given the numerous historical neighborhoods/communities, home to around 300,000, the seat of Lancaster County, definitely a rapidly growing community from several sources including, a 30,000 University of Nebraska-Lincoln student body, new tech firms, new casino and construction jobs, an immigrant/refugee relocation city, etc. A safe place to live, excellent public school system, well connected city bus system, incredibly well-connected and cared for bike paths/trails connecting nearly the entire city. Low unemployment.
Home of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers and Athletic Program, particularly highlighting Cornhusker Football and Memorial Stadium (becomes the third largest “city” on Football Saturdays), Women’s Volleyball, Baseball, etc.
