Parks & Nature
Park your car in Paynesville and take the (free for pedestrians) cable ferry across to Raymond Island. Follow the koala trail to see plenty of koalas in their natural environment. Walking around the quiet streets of the island is an experience in itself as only local traffic is predominantly there. Or circumnavigate the island in your canoe or kayak. Quiet water for swimming all around the island is also easily accessible. Perhaps bring along a picnic lunch or go to Pier 70 afterwards for your lunch.
Be sure to walk down to the Den of Nargun and also go to the Amphitheatre for a breathtaking view!

The Den or Nargun is reached with a hike (bush walk) along a path which becomes a rocky hike part-way along. You will be rewarded with a cool waterhole in which to swim and some interesting information about the significance of the place to the indigenous women.
