Mount Maunganui
Mauao is the local mountain. Take the steps, path, or go up the hillside for a great workout with beautiful views from the top.
Relax at the Mount Hot Pools (also has a cold pool), and enjoy a great meal at any of the local cafes or restaurants on Maunganui Road, or Oceanbeach.
Pilot Bay is great for gentle water movement, and Oceanbeach is great for surfing. Watch out for Shark Alley!!!!!
Leisure Island offers diving, walks, and a blow hole.
Please remember to take your rubbish, compost and recycling with you and dispose of in appropriate bins (provided at the house)
