This a great local restaurant serving American food with outdoor and indoor dining. It is right on the river. All the food is excellent. It's a good option for the whole family. We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here- that's how much we love it.

An amazing place to visit but not for the feint of heart. Located 17 miles up Mineral King Road, which takes you up to 7000+ feet into Mineral King Canyon. This is an amazing spot for lunch, but be prepared for a long and windy drive with steep drop offs. The drive from 3R is 90+ minutes and is only open in summer and early fall.

One of the first and best National Parks, home of the largest trees in the world. It simply is a must-do when in the area. The gate is just a few miles from the house.

This campground located at the end of South Fork Drive, is also the Lady Bug Trailhead. The trail is 7.2 miles and moderately difficult, but includes giant Sequoias, waterfalls, wildlife, great views, and yes, ladybugs. You don't need to hike the whole thing to enjoy some amazing sights. South Fork Drive does get rough before the campground. It turns to dirt and can be tough, but possible, for low vehicles. Best time of year is March to November.
