“Chiawana park is along the Sacajawea trail, a paved 23 mile loop through all three cities in the Tri-Cities along the Columbia River where you can jog, bike, or take the dog for a walk! Seasonal restrooms, children's play toys, volleyball courts, and bbq pits are some amenities at this park.”

“Small park that includes beams from the World Trade Center. Comments from visitors on Trip Advisor include: 180 Greenwich St, Kennewick, Emotional. Amazing place. Must See. The Tri-Cities also has an emotional connection to NYC. Following 9/11 we held fundraisers and bought a fire truck for them. Terry was part of the team that delivered the truck and would be happy to share the story if you ask about it. “USS Triton (SSRN/SSN-586), a United States Navy radar picket nuclear submarine, was the first vessel to execute a submerged circumnavigation of the Earth (Operation Sandblast), doing so in early 1960. Triton accomplished this objective during her shakedown cruise while under the command of Captain Edward L. "Ned" Beach, Jr. The only member of her class, she also had the distinction of being the only Western submarine powered by two nuclear reactors. At the time of her commissioning in 1959, Triton was the largest, most powerful, and most expensive submarine ever built, at $109MM. Destined for scrap, it now resides in the memorial park. ”
