“Once part of an Edo era (1603-1867) feudal lord's home, this massive green space was turned into a public park in 1949. Since then it has been a beloved refuge for Tokyoites looking to enjoy a bit of nature in the center of the city. Despite only being a short walk away from bustling Shinjuku, the leafy walkways and seasonal flowers make this a tranquil spot for a morning or afternoon stroll. After paying the small entrance fee, you will soon find that the noise of the city drops away and is replaced by bird song. Shinjuku Gyoen combines three distinct types of gardens-Japanese traditional, French formal and English landscape with sprawling lawns and quiet groves. ”

It is a tourist spot that you won't get tired of even a day, such as the shopping center Tokyo Solamachi, the planetarium, and the aquarium. Attention is the interior of the Sky Tree elevator. There are four types that represent the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and the “summer” elevator is decorated with Edo Kiriko. You can enjoy the exciting season in which the elevator is guided.”

“It's a mechanical show restaurant with Japanese dancers! It's a seemingly crazy shop, but it's all about the details. Tension goes up abnormally because it is in the middle of the genre town. Maybe this kind of blown-out sensibility will play a role in Japan! 機械仕掛けのショーと思いきや、日本人ダンサーによるエンターテイメントレストラン!一見クレイジーな店内だが、細部にまでこだわり抜かれています!様々なお店のある歌舞伎町のど真ん中にあり、テンションも異常に上がるかも!”

City Hall
“Golden Gai is a few minutes walk from the East Exit of Shinjuku Station, between the Shinjuku City Office and the Hanazono Shrine.[5] Its architectural importance is that it provides a view into the relatively recent past of Tokyo, when large parts of the city resembled present-day Golden Gai, particularly in terms of the extremely narrow lanes and the tiny two-story buildings. Nowadays, most of the surrounding area has been redeveloped: The street plans have been changed to create much wider roads and larger building plots, and most of the buildings themselves are now much larger high- or medium- rise developments. This has left Golden Gai as one of a decreasing number of examples of the nature of Tokyo before Japan’s “economic miracle”, that took place in the latter half of the 20th century. 今人気の東京都新宿区の飲食店街です。およそ2000坪ほどの狭い区画に低層の木造長屋が連なっており、200軒以上の小さな飲食店が密集していいるので、飲み歩きにもできます!以前は文壇バーなど個性豊かな店も多く、常連客として作家、編集者、映画監督、俳優といった文化人が多く集まることで知られていました。このような背景から、東京におけるサブカルチャーやアングラ芸術の発信地のひとつとなっています。”

“The building, located just across the street from Shibuya Station, opened in April 1979. The architect was Minoru Takeyama. Tokyu, the building's operator, designed the building as a "Fashion Community" containing small retail stores targeting the early-30s female consumer. Tokyu intended the store to compete with Seibu Department Stores, which was making inroads into the Shibuya area. 開業当初は20代後半から30代の女性に人気でしたが、現在では店内のほとんどが10代後半から20代前半の女性の支持を集めるショッピング施設!「マルキュー」の略称で呼ばれ親しまれ、渋谷のランドマーク!”

“ Ueno Park, a famous cherry blossom spot in Tokyo. Shinobazuike is a popular spot where you can feel nature in the city center, with lots of water birds such as ducks, and lotus flowers in summer. The Starbucks Coffee concept store in the park, one of the few in the country, is also recommended.”
