Kafe
“Located in a quieter part of town not far from Skanderberg Square, Hemingway has a friendly atmosphere, over 100 types of rum—that’s it’s specialty liquor—and old-fashioned décor reminiscent of the 1970s and ‘80s in Albania, but with a bohemian twist. Fittingly, the music playing inside is always jazz. Foreigners may be surprised because here they will find the same quality of cocktails like in bigger cities like London or New York.”

“Modern, bright and always busy, CioccolatItaliani’s menu stretches well beyond crêpes with a veritable smorgasbord of tooth-destroying treats on offer, among them waffles and various concoctions in which chocolate is the main event.”

Kokteyl Barı
“A landmark in Tirana, this place has an unbeatable atmosphere, hosting jazz nights, nostalgic disco nights, electronic nights, and everything in between. Its décor is as modern as it is nostalgic and its drinks, simple and tasty. The outdoor patio is never empty!”

“Well, yes! We also have a Tribeca in Tirana, which is not an entire neighborhood but just a small corner Bar in the very center of the Bllok area…and it’s totally worth it! Tribeca is a very cosmopolitan bar that serves very good coffee during the day and amazing cocktails during the evening. It’s the kind of place where you can ask for your “Martini shaken, not stirred” and they totally get what you’re asking for ;). I really like the choice of the spirits and drinks at Tribeca, either if you’re a fan of a smooth drink or a fancy cocktail, because the bartender is always up to date with the trending cocktails and the music and the atmosphere is so cool. I enjoy having my coffee and after ”

Bira imalathanesi
“Another one for the slightly older crowd and named after the infamous Berlin border crossing, Checkpoint Charlie is a raucous party bar full Berlin Wall memorabilia and a regular crowd of local ladies and gentlemen grinding away to the rhythm of classic rock and pop. Snacks such as chicken wings and French fries are always available although the main draw seems to be the affordable beer, which curiously is often sold auction-style, changing price every now and then depending on demand. Find it down the alley near the Hotel de Paris.”

Night Club
“With space for up to 500 party animals, the extremely well established and equally popular Lolipop is an achingly cool club for cocktails, gossip and the latest in house and dance music. Hosting such names in the past as the English DJ and producer John Digweed, inside find lots of brushed steel, sofas in vivid red and blinding polka dots on the walls.”

“Up the hill on the right on the old road to Elbasan and more or less within walking distance of the city centre, this is upmarket Albanian dining at its best. The décor is mountain chic, with the waiters wandering around in traditional costumes ferrying plates and bowls piled high with classic local cuisine to die for. Complete with a sloped garden populated by a menagerie of animals the kids will love, if you can’t find the energy to visit for the single attraction, it’s worth mentioning that the recommended Martyrs’ Cemetery is a little bit further up the hill.”

Konser Salonu
“The national Theater dates back to 1939, it was built from the Italians during their occupation in Albania. In 2018, the Albanian government decided to demolish the building of the theatre and has temporarily relocated it at ArTurbina on Sami Frasheri St in Tirana Re district of Tirana. A new theatre will be constructed on the grounds of the current theatre amidst criticism from some groups, leading to protests from local artists.”
