“The Carmel Market (the Shuk Hacarmel) is the largest market, or shuk, in Tel Aviv. A vibrant marketplace where traders sell everything from clothing to spices, and fruit to electronics, visiting the Carmel Market is a fascinating thing to do in Tel Aviv. The hustle and bustle, vibrant noise, colors and smells, as well as its reputation as the largest authentic Middle-Eastern style shuk in Tel Aviv, all combine to make the Carmel Market a favorite place for everyone from first time tourists visiting the city, to locals who come here to get the freshest fruit and vegetables, and some of the cheapest products in the city.”

“Eating out can be very pricey but if you know some insiders’ places, it can be even cheaper than buying products in grocery stores. Tel Aviv is well known for its amazing street food. If you’re traveling to Tel Aviv, eating hummus has to be on your must-do list. I wanna tell you about a hummus place I discovered last summer in the heart of Shuk HaCarmel – “Hummus Magen David”. Once you’ve tried Magen David hummus, you would never compromise for industrially made hummus in supermarkets again. This place is always busy and you have to wait in line for a while but it’s worth it. All tables are shared, so feel free to grab a seat with strangers.”

“During the day it is a robust spice market. All spices and coffee beans in their best state will be found here. This is a must see during the day. At night it is a neighborhood pub/restaurant scene with many small, bohemian places you can eat fresh food from Tel Aviv's markets and enjoy the chic local, bohemian night scene. ”

“The owner, Michal, is a friend of mine, and Chelsy is one unique second hand store. Michal hand picks all items - cloths, shoes, bags, in the TLV, US and Eu's markets and brings it here. The difference - she has great taste so you can find high quality designed clothing for cheap prices all spread right in front of you and just puck an item”

“A past Templar neighborhood that went through millions of dollars’ worth of renovations and was turned into an open market. The place went through renovations, and the buildings that were previously occupied by grey officials are now occupied by smile saleswomen and hosts who’ll immediately show you to your table. The center is pretty and completely sterile, it hosts three residential buildings for the rich and in their lobby is a stunning and convenient food market. The space is pleasant and inviting and of course - expensive and unnecessary all at the same time.”
