Park
“My favourite place to walk in a peaceful and interesting environment. If you want to escape the heat of summer or you're looking for a pleasant bush walk as an alternative to sand, the tracks that crisscross Milnthorpe make a pleasant place to be. With numerous entry points along the beach, SH60 and from Nelson Street, you can take your pick for where start your walk. For the most part the tracks are flat but because of tree roots and natural obstructions like the odd fallen tree etc, they’re not great for buggies You can come out at the river mouth but be careful of the changing tides and strong currents. You could also come out on Milnthorpe Beach, look for shells, crabs and pipi or build forts out of driftwood. While you walk, keep an eye out for sculptures hidden amongst the trees. ”

Park
“1.12 hr drive and its quite a hike first along beside a river and the up, steeply up till you reach the cave. Magnificent! Can combine this with Crystal pools, Pupu Springs, Harwoods hole all in one very hard out day trip! For a more relaxing adventure you would need to choose just two or three options.”

“Beautiful Kaiteriteri beach - just a 50 minute drive. Golden sands and crystel clear water; relax in the sun, lunch at the Shoreline or enjoy a real-fruit ice cream on the beach front. It's also the gateway to Abel Tasman National Park - catch a water taxi into the park and explore all this beautiful park has to offer.”

Beach
“A great beach for summer. It’s quieter than Kaiteriteri but still gorgeous. You can swim in low and high tide here. There is a shady tree and a stream for kids to play in so great for families ”

Beach
“Tata Beach is absolutely stunning! It is arguably one of the better beaches in Golden Bay for swimming as the beach drops off more quickly into the water allowing for deeper water access much sooner than on some of the other GB beaches. It is worth noting that Tata has courser sand so it's recommended to bring beach sandals/shoes if you don't fancy some natural exfoliation! You can also rent kayaks at the beach here.”
