“(Metro Atocha - Linea 1) The museum is mainly dedicated to Spanish art. Highlights of the museum include excellent collections of Spain's two greatest 20thcentury masters, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí. Certainly, the most famous masterpiece in the museum is Picasso's painting Guernica.”

Sanat Müzesi
“With over 1,600 paintings, it was once the second largest private collection in the world after the British Royal Collection. A competition was held to house the core of the collection in 1987–88 after Baron Thyssen, having tried to enlarge his Museum in Lugano(Villa Favorita), searched for a location in Europe. The Thyssen-Bornemisza fills the historical gaps in its counterparts' collections: in the Prado's case this includes Italian primitives and works from the English, Dutch and German schools, while in the case of the Reina Sofia it concerns Impressionists, Expressionists, and European and American paintings from the 20th century. ”

History Museum
“A block south of Plaza de la Cibeles, this museum will appeal to those who always wondered what the Spanish Armada really looked like. On display are quite extraordinary models of ships from the earliest days of Spain’s maritime history to the 20th century. Lovers of antique maps will also find plenty of interest, especially Juan de la Cosa’s parchment map of the known world, put together in 1500. The accuracy of Europe and Africa is astounding, and it’s supposedly the first map to show the Americas. Also of interest is the wall-sized map showing Spanish maritime journeys of discovery from the 15th to 18th centuries. Statue of Don Blas de Lezo (3 February 1689 – 7 September 1741) one the Greatest Admirals of all time and unfortunately one of the most unknown Spanish heroes well deserves a visit - it is located at Plaza de Colon. ”

Sanat Müzesi
“It houses the art and historical object collections of Enrique de Aguilera y Gamboa, 17th Marquis of Cerralbo, who died in 1922. The museum, which is housed in the former residence of its founder, opened in 1944. The building was built in the 19th century, according to Italian taste, and it was luxuriously decorated with baroque furniture, wall paintings and expensive chandeliers. It retains to a large extent its original aesthetics”
