“A castle in a city! With gorgeous views over Lisboa. Inside the castle walls you will also find shops, cafés, restaurants, etc. People still live inside the castle area. Particularly beautiful at sunset.”

“I was born in this quarter. Still my favorite one. Nowadays, it's a must go to, to enjoy nightlife, modern and traditional restaurants, and so much more. Avoid the Fado places...usually a rip off! But, some exceptions. Such as, A Mascote da Atalaia. Nevertheless, always check TripAdvisor reviews. ”

Place of Worship
“The Mosteiro dos Jeronimos is the magnificent monastery, which was funded by the 16th century spice trade. Originally, the plans for the monastery were modest, but with an almost unlimited budget and 50 years of construction, the final result is the most extravagant religious building in Portugal. Within the dual-level cloisters intricate stone carvings adorn every surface, while the western portal exemplifies the whimsical Manueline design styles and sculpture. Insider tip: There can be very long queues to enter the monastery, but the adjoining church is as decorative, and is without the queues or entrance fee. Tourist information: Cloister €10 – Church Free”

“The Torre de Belém lies in the Belem district and this area is a favourite with tourists. There are scenic parks, views across the Tejo estuary and is the location for many of Lisbon’s most important historic monuments.”

Sanat Müzesi
“The National Museum of Ancient Art is the most important art museum of the 12th to 19th centuries in Portugal, hosting the most relevant public collection of ancient art in the country. [3] Its collections - some 40,000 species - include painting, sculpture, drawing and European decorative arts, as well as collections of Asian (India, China, Japan) and African (Afro-Portuguese ivory) art representative of the relations between Europe and the East following the voyages of discovery - begun in the 15th century and of which Portugal was a pioneer nation.”

“Sea food lovers, its a MUST for the best in town. The best time to go to Ramiro is at five in the afternoon. There, when the big lunches are over, it's still not the time for the English to dine and the Portuguese are thinking about going there for an afternoon snack (but do not divulge this secret, please). When you leave, you will even laugh at the queue. Must try: the clams the Bulhão Pato way - with toasts full of butter, obviously.”

“This quaint medieval district (once the Moorish and Jewish quarter before it became a fishing community) is the oldest neighborhood in Europe after El Pópulo in Cadiz. It's like a small village, standing as a time capsule to the years before Lisbon was destroyed by the 1755 earthquake, as it remained standing thanks to its rock-solid foundations. Put away your map and wander aimlessly through its "becos" (alleys) and "largos" (small squares), allowing your senses to be the guides. You'll see magnificent river views and laundry out to dry from balconies, smell fish being grilled in a corner, hear the sounds of Fado coming out of a restaurant, taste authentic traditional meals, and touch some dazzling tilework. Set in a visually stunning hill that extends to the neighborhood of Graça, this is Lisbon at its most picturesque and the very soul of the city. Life here continues much as it has for centuries, but walk down towards the waterfront and you're once again in modern times: old warehouses have been renovated and turned into some of the city's coolest hotspots, from DeliDelux for brunch to Bica do Sapato for dinner, and Lux for drinks and dancing until sunrise. “The newly opened food court on the 7th floor has some of Lisbon's best chefs -- the view is nicer and it's less busy than the Timeout Market (Mercado da Ribeira) and there is even our favourite ice cream place Nannarella!”

Deniz Ürünleri Restoranı
“It is fishmonger, seafood restaurant, bar and seafood, or rather a "modern fishmonger". It is a contemporary space where you can buy fish to cook at home or stay for a meal ranging from sushi to traditional seafood. The fish is therefore always fresh, and can also be served in the bar area, accompanied by wine by the glass. On Friday and Saturday nights the doors are open later, and DJs are often present.”

“You must try octopus fillets with açorda! Very nice tuna steak à Algarvia (south typical flavours with a lot of coriander and garlic). Also great meat, steaks... Ask if they have "cadelinhas" special little shells! ”

Bar
“The view is from Lisbon, the decor is inspired by India, but the atmosphere (and the menu) is cosmopolitan. This large café-terrace restaurant on a large city-facing terrace serves light meals throughout the day but also serves as a bar. While everyone naturally chooses to stay on the terrace, on rainy days there is a shelter in the interior rooms, which are equally pleasant.”
