“If you are interested in learning a little bit about the history of the police force in Japan with some time to spare, this is a fun little police museum for you. Not only you can learn about the police, you can learn about some of the other civil employees of Japan as well, such as criminal investigators and marine rescue crews. If this something you might like then I recommend you visit this location. Also say hi to Pipu-kun, the yellow looking character with the big ears. (The Police Force Mascot)”

“This shop primarily deals in Mino pottery, which originates from central Japan. The owner started his business there in Mie Prefecture, so he has a strong local network for procuring quality tea bowls and other crafted items. The atmosphere is a little luxurious, but it’s not exclusionary—they’ve told me they want more people coming in to casually look around. I have a fond memory of an unforgettable restored Momoyama-era bowl here. The case bore the name of Baron Takeshi Masuda, with a song by the baron on the inside of the lid. I imagined it was one of his personal treasures, and then they even let me touch it! They really value the personal experience.”
